Three Rangers personnel die in Karachi attack

According to reports, armed motorbike riders opened fire on a mobile van of Rangers in Ittehad Town area after Friday prayers when the law-enforcement personnel were on security duty.

DIG-West Feroze Shah has said that the motorbike riding gunmen targeted the rangers mobile which was present at Masjid-e-Abu Huraira for security duty during Friday prayers.

Four security personnel sustained serious injuries and three of them were succumbed to their injuries while being taken to hospital.

The attackers escaped from the scene after the attack.

Large contingents of police and Rangers reached to the spot after the terrorist attack. The law enforcement agencies sealed the crime scene. A search operation has been started in the vicinity of the area to arrest the culprits.

Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar immediately reached to the place of the attack.

Talking to media persons, D.G. Rangers said that three personnel of Rangers were died and one injured in the attack. He said the attackers and planners of the terrorist attack will be arrested soon.

Paramilitaryh Rangers currently spearheading an operation against criminals in Karachi for maintenance of law and order in the port city.
