RAWALPINDI: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan on Friday killed an alleged terrorist involved in recent killing of 15 illegal border-crossers during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO), Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to ISPR, the raid was carried out near Alandur area – Abdul Rehman village – of Turbat district on an intelligence tip-off about presence of the terrorists.
Younis Taukali, one of the eight top commanders of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), was killed in an exchange of fire with the FC personnel.
The terrorist was killed 20 kilometres west of Buleda and 25km north of where the bullet-riddled bodies of 15 migrants mostly hailing from Punjab were found on Wednesday, the statement added.
Taukali was involved in attacking FC convoys with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and was wanted for multiple murders, including that of Rehmatullah Shohaz, a founding member of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), who surrendered later, said the Pak Army’s media wing.
