Trump’s election victory drove me to drink, says woman arrested over drunk driving

MINNESOTA: A local accused of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) gave a strange alibi for her misconduct i.e. the election victory of Donald Trump drove her to drink.

According to a foreign news agency, 33-year old Elizabeth L. Lundberg was arrested over rear-ending a car, causing it to ram into the back of another vehicle.

The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The police officers stated that Lundberg had bloodshot and watery eyes and seemed confused during the situation. She was also unable to spell her name correctly as well.

However, she did gave a strange explanation of the whole incident.

The police department’s Facebook page stated that Lundberg stated that she was upset over the outcome of the Presidential election and the police officers should let her go home.

The police officers were not having any of it especially after allegedly finding empty vodka bottle in her purse which they claimed was saturated with liquor.

She kept arguing with police officers and was shifted to Lino Lakes Police Department where she failed sobriety test.

The suspect was booked for gross-misdemeanor charges of criminal vehicular operation and third-degree driving while intoxicated in connection with the crash.

KARE TV reported that Lundberg lost her balance while attempting to give a breathing test. She grabbed the breath testing machine and broke it trying to break her fall. She was taken to Centennial Lakes Police Department for testing her blood alcohol content which read 0.33, about four times the legal limit.
