Tug of war over constitutional amends sets new record: Liaquat Baloch

LAHORE: Jamaat Islami leader Liaquat Baloch on Saturday said that the tug of war over the proposed constitutional amendments have set a new record, ARY News reported.

JI Naib Ameer in a statement said that the parliamentary parties’ tug of war for contentious amendments and the entire process has become disputed and shameful.

He said the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and the JUI should not become the part of this contentious process of the proposed amendments in the constitution.

JI leader said that the special seats have been made a joke adding that the amendment in the Election Act was based on malicious intention.

Liaquat Baloch urged for accepting the Supreme Court’s decision over the issue.

JI leader also said that the Punjab government, becoming a party, has adversely affected the girl student’s case. He was opined that the facts of the case will surface with the high court’s full bench hearing.
