Two civilians martyred in Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian forces on Monday resorted to unprovoked fire along the Line of Control (LoC), martyring two Pakistani civilians including a woman, ARY News reported.
According to military’s public affairs wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire in Chakothi Sector along Line of Control( LOC), targeting civilian population. Two civilians including a woman embraced Shahadat, while four were injured.”
Those who were martyred have been identified as Ghulam Hussain resident of Village Bakot and Noushad Bibi wife of Abdul Rehman and resident of Soka Village.

The ISPR said those who were injured have been identified as Raja Mehmood, resident of Darang More, Zahida Bibi from Bari Bhaik, Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Zakir belonged to Village Bakot.
Pakistan army troops responded effectively targeting Indian post which initiated fire, the statement added.
The Indian Border Security Forces had also resorted to indiscriminate fire on Pakistan’s civilian locality along the LoC soon after detained Indian pilot was released through the Wagah Border on March 1.
The Indian forces opened heavy shelling and fire on a Pakistani village located along Nakyal Sector of the border, martyring one citizen and injuring two others.
On Feb 27, at least four people were martyred and eight others injured in firing in various sectors of Azad Kashmir due to shelling from across the dividing line.
