KARACHI: The death toll in an air crash in Karachi’s Baldia Town soared to four as two injured succumbed to their injuries in hospital, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
A training aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near a bus terminal in Baldia Town.
A spokesman of PAF said that the aircraft was on a routine training flight when it crashed down due to a technical fault. Pilot and co-pilot were said to be killed in the air crash.
Several houses were destroyed when the PAF plane came crashing down. Smoke was emitting from the crash site and large number of people gathered at the scene of the crash.
According to eye witness accounts, a bus was completely destroyed whereas four vehicles were also damaged in the crash.
Rescue teams and the personnel of the law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot after the plane crash. The wounded were rushed to the hospitals for medical attendance.
