KASUR: Police shot dead two robbers in an encounter here in Kasur city of Punjab, ARY News reported.
According to details, the armed robbers opened fire at the law enforcers when they were signaled to stop during snap checking.
An exchange of fire ensued between the police and the robbers, resulting in the death of two armed men whereas four of their accomplices managed to escape from the scene by taking advantage of the darkness.
DPO Kasur said that the slain robbers were wanted to the police in different cases.
“Weapons and stolen motorcycle also recovered from the dead men,” he said.
It should be noted that four suspected criminals were also gunned down in a police encounter in Lahore two days ago.
