SWABI: Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom and five terrorists were killed in an operation in Swabi on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army soldiers and terrorists exchanged fire in Malikabad area of Swabi district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.
Two soldiers Captain Junaid and Sepoy Amjad embraced martyrdom during the Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO), ISPR statement said. Five terrorists were also killed in the exchange of fire.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa stated that the sacrifices rendered by the soldiers will not go in vain.
The army chief said that terrorists will be brought to their logical end and will be held accountable for the discord.
It should be noted that five Pakistani soldiers Naik Sanaullah, Naik Safdar, Altaf, Anwar and Naik Mohammad embraced martyrdom whereas 10 terrorists were killed during a cross border attack on three Pakistani security check posts in Mohmand tribal region on Afghan border on Sunday night.
