Fate of Pak-India series to be decided in next 48 hours: sources

According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board and Board of Control for Cricket in India are in talks with their respective governments regarding the series which is likely to be played in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur has said that the cricket series between Pakistan and India must be revived.

Thakur asked why Pakistan and India can’t play bilateral series against each other if they can go head to head in ICC events.

“We need to have sporting ties with Pakistan”, Thakur said.

He added that the backdoor negotiations will be held with Pakistan regarding all outstanding issues between the two countries.

“We want to have good bilateral ties with the neighbouring country”, he added.

It should be noted that Anurag Thakur had earlier opposed Pak-India series in his tweet.
