Umar Akmal files a lawsuit against traffic warden

In the application Umar Akmal claimed that traffic warden had misbehaved and threatened him but police instead of listening to his stance filed a case against him.

Akmal demanded that fulfilling the requirements of justice, court should order police to file case against Zeeshan after listening to his stance. He further said Zeeshan’s attempt to arrest him had humiliated him therefore he demanded an action to be taken against the warden.

Additional and sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti issued a notice to concerned Police asking the record of case on July 16.

The cricket was apprehended on February 1 when  police charged him for violating a traffic signal in Lahore’s Firdous market area and later brawled with a traffic warden.

Umar Akmal was detained the same day and released a day later on a bail order issued by a local court against a surety bond of Rs100,000. However, he denied the charges, claiming he had been assaulted by the traffic warden first.
