Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (R.A) begins

LAHORE: The three day Urs of Hazrat Ali bin Usman Hajveri (R.A) also known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (R.A) has started today in Lahore, ARY News reports.

The Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar initiated the festivities by laying a chaddar on the tomb of the sufi poet after which a milk sabeel was also inaugurated.

Recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers were held before the start of the Urs.

Strict security arrangements have been made for the occasion and CCTV monitoring is also being done by the administration.

Thousands of devotees are making their way towards the tomb of the renowned sufi poet due to which the department of Auqaf and Religious Affairs have finalized the arrangements.
