US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson stated this during a meeting with Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today.
He informed that the allocated amount would be spent on different sectors including energy, defense against terrorism and education.
The US Ambassador also congratulated the Minister on successful completion of 4th and 5th IMF review and raising the reserve up to $ US 15 billion.
On this occasion, the Finance Minister said that remarked that the government of Pakistan would spend a large amount of this assistance on the rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons of North Waziristan.
The US Ambassador expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of innocent children in Peshawar incident.
The US envoy also met Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and expressed deep condolences and sympathies with the Pakistan government over the Peshawar tragedy.
Nisar said political leadership and people were on the same page to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists in the country.
