Police looking for fourth suspect in Karachi farmhouse ‘sexual assault’ case

KARACHI:  Police are looking for a fourth suspect after an 16-year-old girl recovered from a farmhouse in Karachi recorded her statement, ARY News reported.

According to police, the girl, who was brought to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in an unconscious condition said that she left her home on her own free will and went to the farmhouse with the three boys who are in police custody and that they didn’t harm her.

Police added that the girl said that there was another boy named Faizan who drugged her and attempted to sexually assault her.

The 16-year-old was earlier recovered from a farmhouse in Gulshan-e-Maymar area of the city while three of her “friends” present on the crime scene were arrested.

Medical report confirms sexual assault

Earlier, a medical examination conducted by a medico-legal officer at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital confirmed sexual assault.

“She is in a semi-conscious state but is telling us about her orderal, she said she was given a drugged cold drink. Though she earlier denied that but the medical examination proved sexual assault.

‘Missing for four days’

The girl’s grandmother, uncle and paternal aunt later reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and told ARY News that the girl left home four days ago and has done that quite a few times in the past too.

“Her mother has died and her father is ill and bedridden,” said the lady who identified herself as victim’s grandmother.

She maintained that the girl left home four days ago and they were looking for her before knowing about her ordeal.
