KARACHI: A CCTV footage obtained by ARY News on Friday shows a biker involved in knife attack on a woman in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, the latest such incident in the city.
The biker seen attacking the victim with a paper cutter in the CCTV footage in a recent incident.
At least six such attacks were carried out on girls in the current week in the area. In almost all such incidents, a biker attacked women with a sharp object leaving them severely injured.
The footage received by ARY News shows a biker roaming in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block Two attacking a woman by approaching a woman who was at her house’s doorstep.
According to ARY News correspondent Nazir Shah, the family
says that the incident occurred at about 6:40 PM in the evening and the man was roaming around in the area since 6:30 but only attacked the woman who was standing at her house’s doorstep during the power cut in the area.The attacker’s attire was the same as described by other victims of knife attacks in the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that the initial investigation report in this case says the attacks were actually carried out by paper cutter not a knife or a dagger.
SP Gulshan told ARY News on Thursday that most of the victims were not cooperating with the police but police took them into confidence to carry out the investigation.
