VIP culture in India: Foreigner slaps security guard for doing his duty

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had attended a book release function. Soon after the former Prime Minister had arrived, a foreigner appeared and wanted to attend the event as well. In observance of the security rules, a security guard did not allow her to enter the premises, to which at first, the woman reacted harshly and then proceeded to slap the security guard.

A senior manager came to the rescue of the guard and chided the woman for her insolence and insensitivity.
