An old audition clip of Bollywood star Anushka Sharma for ‘3 Idiots’ has resurfaced on social media and is going viral.
One of the finest female actors in Bollywood, Sharma made her dream debut with YRFs ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ (2007) opposite megastar Shahrukh Khan and continued her collaboration with the biggest production house for a few films.

She got to work with ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani on the blockbuster title ‘PK’ in 2014 co-starring Aamir Khan.
However, this was not the first time she attempted a chance in a Hirani-Khan collaboration and had also auditioned for their debut partnership, ‘3 Idiots’. The audition clip of the then-aspiring actor failed to reach the makers though.
While working on ‘PK’ with them, she showed the rare clip of herself auditioning with a monologue of Gracy Singh from ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’
both to Khan and Hirani to know their reactions.

The actor-director duo was stunned by the spectacular audition of Sharma and also felt embarrassed to have not seen it earlier. Khan even pointed out to Hirani sarcastically for not casting the actor despite the great screen test.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Rajkumar Hirani directorial, written by Abhijat Joshi, is one of the cult classics of Bollywood. The title eventually starred Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi along with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead.
‘3 Idiots’ was hailed by critics upon its release and received several accolades, in addition to Box Office feats.
