In CCTV footage from Japan (why are ghost sightings always on a grainy video?), a spectre glides behind a man before following him into a taxi.

Initially, nothing seems out of the ordinary as the man in a white shirt waits for a cab in a quiet Japanese town.

But as he makes his way towards the waiting car, a dark figure moves behind him for a few seconds.

When the man closes the car door, the shape disappears – possibly having floated into the car or simply vanished into thin air.

The ghostly figure appears to be a woman wearing a robe and hood, and possibly carrying a bag.

As it is generally believed, some internet users called the video a work of camera trick, while some others viewed it as supernatural power was really spotted.
