Water crisis in Karachi after supply suspended from Hub Dam

The water crisis in the metropolis prompted tanker mafia to cash in on the situation. The worst suffering areas were Landhi, Malir, Shah Faisal, North Nazimabad, North Karachi and other localities.

Sources said the crisis was created by the Karachi water board officials in connivance with tanker mafia to mint huge money.

Tankers in different areas are charging Rs 3000 to 4000 per tanker. It is learnt that the water board is supplying 10,000 gallons of water to the Chief Minister House per day.

KWSB spokesperson said water was being supplied to District West from alternative sources.
