Without peace no project can be successful in FATA: Ameer Maqam

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on tribal affairs, Ameer Muqam while referring to the law and order as major issue of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), has said that no project can be successful there in the absence of peace – ARY News reports.

Talking to media, Ameer Muqam said that discriminatory laws will have to be ended, in order to bring the tribal people into the national mainstream. He stressed on the need of an independent assembly for the tribal people, or if they want they can have their representation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly.

He told that the Government is making serious efforts for the sake of restoring peace in the state and for this purpose it is sincerely holding a dialogue with militants to resolve longstanding issues.
