GUJRANWALA: A woman was attacked with a sharp object in Gujranwala on Saturday, in Jinnah Road police station limits.
The woman got badly injured and she was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital Gujranawala.
The 25-year-old victim said two unknown men riding a bike attacked her with a knife on her abdomen when she was standing at her door.
The victim and her spouse nodded in negative when asked if they had enmity with anyone, while the police said probe was underway to arrest the culprits.
It is apropos to mention that knife attacks in different cities of the country have gone rampant these days, specially in Karachi.
The mystery still surrounds the motive behind the knife assaults on women in Karachi, besides the number of attackers involved in the assaults as Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Friday claimed a major clue had been found in connection with Karachi knife attacks.
