Former England captain Nasser Hussain shared his views on swashbuckling South Africa batter Heinrich Klaasen following his heroics against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Heinrich Klaasen has been having a memorable tournament with 198 runs from four matches with a century to his name. He is batting at an average of 49.50 and a strike rate 139.43.

The right-handed batter’s highest score in the tournament is 109 against England with the help of 12 boundaries and four sixes. His blistering performance helped the Proteas thrash England by 229 runs.

Nasser Hussain gave his input about the South Africa cricketer following the match. The former England cricketer believes that the right-handed batter is the best middle-order batter in the world right now.

“In the middle order, there are not many better players in world cricket at the moment than Heinrich Klaasen,” he said. “The way he pulls the spinner…pulls the quicker bowlers, (he is) a high-quality player.”
