World Kabaddi Cup 2013: Pakistan’s women lost to India in Semi-Final

KARACHI: Indian women’s kabaddi team has defeated Pakistan’s women by 46-16 in the semi-final of World Cup at Multi Purpose Sports Stadium,Bathinda on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Pakistan’s women team was placed in Group B along with Denmark, England and Mexico. Pakistan displayed promising start right from the begining of the tournament, they were narrowly beaten by group leaders Denmark 45-39 in the opening match but the team bounced back against England in their second match by winning 41-30.

Furthermore, On Tuesday in their last Group-B match at N.M. Government College Stadium, Mansa, Pakistan women’s kabaddi team had crushed Mexico by 49-24 and reached the semi final stage of the event in their first appearance.

India will play final against New Zealand while Pakistan will take on Denmark for the third position on December 12 at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium Jalandhar.
