8-year old boy injured in firing by Indian troops at LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian troops on Sunday resorted to unprovoked firing in Chiri Kot sector along the Line of Control (LoC), injuring an eight-year old boy.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “Indian troops from posts on Line of Control in Chiri Kot Sector opened fire on civil population. An 8 years old boy Khayam got seriously injured.”

The injured was rushed to a nearby hospital, it said and added Pakistani troops effectively responded to the Indian post.

Last month, a civilian named Abdul Rauf was killed when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line on Control, according to the Inter Services Public Relations.

The incident occurred in Kotkoterra Sector along the LoC. The deceased was grazing his cattle when he was targeted by Indian troops.
