ISLAMABAD: The foreign office (FO) said that around 427 Pakistanis have safely reached Sudan port amid clashes across the country, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to the foreign office spokesperson, the foreign ministry jointly with the foreign missions making efforts to provide relief to Pakistanis stuck in Sudan.
The spokesperson further stated that arrangement are being made for the next journey of Pakistani nationals who are currently at the Sudan port.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the security and protection of Pakistanis in Sudan was a top priority of the government.
In a statement, he said the government was closely watching the situation in Sudan and consistently monitoring the steps taken for the protection and security of Pakistani citizens.

Pakistan’s embassy in Sudan was in constant touch with the 1500 Pakistanis living in Sudan and was providing them with all possible facilities. The embassy in Sudan had formed a WhatsApp group to remain in touch with Pakistanis who were advised to stay at home.
It is pertinent to mention here that fighting between the RSF and Sudan’s army erupted, derailing an internationally backed plan for a transition to a civilian democracy four years after the fall of Islamist autocrat Omar al-Bashir to mass protests and two years after a military coup.
