KARACHI: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday sent four facilitators in murder of former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and ex-MNA Ali Raza Abidi, ARY News reported.
The arrested suspects were identified as Haseeb, Abubakar, Farooq and Ghazali. The challan for the suspects would be presented after completion of probe on March 18.
The law enforcers had arrested the four men from Kharadar area. They were involved in dispatching arms to the killers and receiving money from murderers.

Police said they were searching for other accomplices of the arrested suspects. The police had requested the ATC to grant 14-day physical remand of the four facilitators of former MNA’s murder.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police on March 4 claimed to have arrested four suspects in ex-MNA Syed Ali Raza Abidi’s murder case.
Claiming major development in Ali Raza Abidi’s assassination case, CTD’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja told the journalists that they had apprehended at least four suspects, involved in the killing, from different areas of Karachi.
Giving details about the new development, the police officer said that geofencing helped detect a suspect, Farooq, who was arrested today in the metropolis. Farooq identified three more suspects involved in the murder.
Naveed Khawaj said that the police on the identification of Farooq, conducted raids in Kharadar and other areas and took all the three suspects into custody. He said that the suspects were identified as Ghazali, Haseeb and Abubakar.
