ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) held a session regarding the assassination of senior anchorperson Arshad Sharif in which the Kenyan post-mortem report has been reviewed, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to details, the JIT held its 10th session regarding the investigation of Arshad sharif’s murder in which the Kenyan Chief Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor’s post-mortem report was reviewed.
“Discussion and expert opinion will be taken from senior doctors on Arshad Sharif’s Kenyan post-mortem report,” stated Islamabad police spokesperson.
The police officials recorded statements of two important witnesses from the martyred journalist’s family, however, more key witnesses will be summoned later to record further pieces of evidence. The JIT session’s next session will be held tomorrow.

Earlier, The JIT members met the family members of the martyr journalist Arshad Sharif’s mother and other family members and recorded the statement of Sharif’s mother.
The team has so far recorded the testimonies of over 27 witnesses, whereas, more persons were summoned for their statements.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed has appeared before the JIT probing senior journalist Arshad Sharif’s murder case for the second time.

On December 15, the PTI leader Murad Saeed appeared first time before the JIT during its fourth session in which recorded statements of four persons while information was taken from the PTI leader regarding the threats received by the slain journalist.
In another session, the team had also obtained key information from the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Javed Iqbal.
