Biden administration not meddling in Pakistan’s politics: US senator

US Senator Chris Van Hollen Sunday denied that the Biden administration is interfering in Pakistan’s politics, ARY News reported.

Speaking at the annual meeting and gala dinner of the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) chapter of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America, the senator reassured the Pakistani community that there has been no attempt to engineer political affairs within Pakistan.

Dr. Mubashar Choudry, a renowned cardiologist and host of the event, underscored Senator Van Hollen’s history of support for Pakistan during difficult times, citing his role in securing a statement from the State Department in favor of Pakistan when concerns were raised about the security of Pakistani nuclear assets.

“I have been in contact with the Biden administration for a long time, and I can confidently say that there was no attempt made to engineer anything related to Pakistani politics,” Senator Van Hollen stated during his address to Pakistani journalists and attendees.
