Corps Commanders’ conference expresses confidence on performance of military courts

RAWALPINDI: A Corps Commanders’ conference on Thursday expressed confidence on performance of military courts, ARY News reported.

However, the forum said, decision for reinstatement of military courts rests with the government.

This should be noted that the matter of extension of military courts has not so far reached a conclusive end after the Pakistan Peoples Party expressed reservations and gave suggestions including extension of military courts for one year rather than two or three years.

Presiding 200th Corps Commanders’ conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad (RuF) is a comprehensive across the board operation against terrorists and terrorism and not against any particular race, sect or group.

The conference reviewed geo-strategic and security environment with special focus on internal security, Pak-Afghan border situation and Indian cease fire violations along Line of Control and working boundary, said spokesman of Pakistan armed forces, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Asif Ghafoor.
