Coach-Tractor collision leaves 42 dead; CM Sindh visits GMC Hospital Sukkur

PANO AKIL: A high speed passenger coach collided with a tractor on National Highway near Pano Aqil on Sunday resulting a sort of resurrection as 42 people including six of a same family died, ARY News reported.

According to sources the accident occurred due to the negligence of driver of the coach travelling from Dera Ghazi Khan to Karachi.

Police said that 17 people were also wounded when the coach collided with the tractor pulling a trolley. The dead included 14 children and 13 women, they said.

Soon after the incident the local people of the surrounding shifted the people with minor injuries were shifted Pani Aqil Hospital while those who were in critical condition to hospital in Sukkur.

Later, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah visited the injured of accidents at GMC Hospital Sukkur.

On the occasion CM Sindh has announced Rs. 1 lakh to the survivors of people died in the accident while Rs. 50,000 to the injurers.

Qaim Ali Shah also asked DIG Sukkur and Commissioner to present report of the incident.
