War not solution to Pak-India issues: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Underscoring the importance of dialogues, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that war was not solution to the issues between Pakistan and India, ARY News reported.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan again invited India for dialogues to avoid disaster in the region. He said that due to the Pakistani vision, peace’s voices rising in India.

The information minister said that they would not allow to put the regional peace and stability at risk for electoral gains. Paying tribute to the tribal people for their sacrifices, Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan had successfully eradicated the menace of terrorism from the country and added that they were still fighting against extremism.

He further said that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be misconstrued as weakness.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday addressed the nation after Pakistan’s robust response to Indian aggression wherein Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian fighter jets and arrested two pilots.

The premier after taking the nation into confidence over PAF’s operation invited India for dialogue and repeated Pakistan’s wish for lasting peace in the region.
