RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts for taking Pakistan to the path of progress and prosperity, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday.
This was stated by Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah at a meeting with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in Riyadh to discuss bilateral relations specially culture cooperation between the two states, here today.
Chaudhry is visiting Saudi Arabia on special invitation of Saudi Culture Minister, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al-Saud.
The Saudi culture minister said the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is time-tested.
Mr Fawad highlighted vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan on culture sector as an essential tool to promote soft image of Pakistan and Muslim Ummah as a whole.
He
thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia Khadimul Harman Sharifain King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman Al Saud for their support to Pakistan in its efforts for poverty alleviation and uplift of economy.

During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia especially on cultural issues.
In September, last year, Fawad Chaudhry met his Saudi counterpart, Dr Awad al Awwad in Jeddah and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
During the meeting, the Minister had expressed gratitude to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi authorities for giving them a warm hospitality.
The Saudi minister had showed interest in screening Pakistani TV dramas on Saudi channels, according to the report.
