Imran Khan challenges his arrest in Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday moved Supreme Court against his arrest from the Islamabad High Court in the Al-Qadir Trust case, ARY News reported.
In his plea Imran Khan has pleaded with the top court to nullify Islamabad High Court’s order of declaring his arrest legal.
Terming the judgment ‘full of flaws’, Imran Khan termed the arrest warrants issued by the NAB ‘illegal’ and added that he did not receive notice of transforming the inquiry into the investigation.
The amount which is being termed as corruption by the NAB is already deposited into the Supreme Court’s account and the government can transfer it anywhere it wants from there, the plea stated.

The former prime minister again expressed threats to his life and pleaded with the court to nullify the Islamabad High Court’s order.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decided to challenge the Islamabad High Court’s verdict of terming the arrest of Khan, legal, in Supreme Court.
The decision was taken in an overnight emergency meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday with the help of Rangers in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
