ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday directed to complete Kartapur Corridor’s construction work promptly.
In a statement issued here from Islamabad today, the premier has directed the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) to ensure completion of standard work on the Pakistani side of the border timely.
Sources privy to the development said on February 2, that the construction work on first phase of Kartarpur Corridor Project has been completed upto 45 percent.
On Tuesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said, a delegation of Pakistan will visit the New Delhi on March 14 to hold talks on Kartarpur Corridor.
The FO spokesperson, conveyed the plan to acting Indian High Commissioner who was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the official statement said.
He said the Pakistan delegation would visit New Delhi on March 14, followed by the return visit of the Indian delegation to Islamabad on March 28, to discuss the draft agreement on Kartarpur Corridor.

PM Khan had laid the foundation stone of Kartarpur Corridor to link Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan with India’s Gurdaspur district, on Nov 28, 2018.
Former Indian cricketer and member of Punjab cabinet Navjot Singh Sidhu and other Indian ministers were also present at the occasion,
A group of Indian journalists and international media were also in attendance to cover the unprecedented event .
