ISLAMABAD: Wishing the ex-premier good health, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday ordered the chief minister Punjab to ensure availability of ‘every health facility’ in the country to get Nawaz Sharif ‘treatment of his choice’.
PM Khan assured of any assistance on part of the federal government that may be required to Sharif.
In a tweet, the prime minister wrote: “I have asked the Punjab CM to ensure that every health facility in the country is made available for Nawaz Sharif to get the treatment of his choice. The federal govt will assist wherever required. I wish him good health.”
Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif yesterday (March 8) met Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat Jail and later told the media his brother was suffering from angina for last few days. “The doctors have once again suggested Mian sahib immediate treatment for the ailment,” he added.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president said Nawaz had, however, refused to go to hospital.
“Nawaz Sharif is of the view that he was previously taken to hospital, but his treatment was not done,” Shehbaz stated.
The younger Sharif cited Nawaz as saying that he was moved to hospital where only he had undergone check-up.
The former prime minister was recently shifted back to Kot Lakhpat Jail from Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital in the light of the medical board’s recommendations.
It may be recalled that Nawaz Sharif, on Feb 7, had also refused to be moved to Punjab Institute of Cardiology for treatment, and insisted to shift him back to the Jail. His request was granted.
