Since the release of the seventh instalment ‘Dead Reckoning – Part One’ of Hollywood’s super-successful spy film series ‘Mission: Impossible’ earlier this year, Tom Cruise fans have been eagerly waiting to see what his Ethan Hunt has in store for the next part, scheduled to hit theatres next year.
However, there is a bit of a disappointment for fans as the movie’s release jumps ahead to 2025, due to the shuffle caused in the slate due to the Hollywood writers and actors’ strike.
As per the development reported by foreign-based entertainment outlets, the Christopher McQuarrie film has now gotten a new release date of May 23, 2025.
Apart from ‘MI: 8’, Paramount Pictures made a flurry of changes in the release slate of other films as well, including ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ which was shifted from March 8, 2024, to the old date of ‘Dead Reckoning’ i.e. June 28, 2024.
Moreover, John Krasinski’s fantasy comedy ‘IF’, starring Ryan Reynolds has been moved up a week to May 17, 2024, whereas, the untitled next ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ title shifted from May release to December 2025.
