ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is functioning independently and the government has no influence over it, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
While talking in ARY News’ program Off The Record, Vawda said the incumbent federal government will continue its zero tolerance policy against corruption in the country.
He said the cases against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders were framed in their respective governments.
“Those found involved in plundering national money would have to face consequences according to law”, he continued.
He said anyone found involved in money laundering or corruption activities would be dealt with as per law.
Criticising Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s train march, the minister said the march is aimed to save their corruption money.

Replying to a query, Vawda said he had not seen any recovery from the in past 35 years by the institutions and added one would have to think seriously if the result become same in the ongoing graft cases despite having solid evidences.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) train march against the federal government is all set to start from Karachi today.
Titled as “Caravan-e-Bhutto”, the march comes ahead of the 40th death anniversary of late former premier and PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
