KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has categorically stated that no more internally displaced persons (IDPs) will be tolerated in Sindh, ARY News reported Friday.
Speaking to an inauguration ceremony of an exhibition in Karachi, the CM Sindh said the provincial government had enhanced security along Sindh borders. He claimed that terrorism cases surged following the policies of former dictator Pervez Musharraf.
He said corp commander Karachi assured of providing army in Sindh, whenever needed. The chief minister said different terrorists groups were operating in Karachi. “Modern weapons have been provided to police while retired army personnel are inducted into the police force,” he added.
He conceded that traders were facing problems in Karachi; however, “we are providing them security.”
