KARACHI: Sindh police chief Allah Dino Khawaja on Friday formally reinstated police officer Rao Anwar as SSP Malir district, ARY News reported.
According to a notification issued by Office of the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, orders have been issued for posting Rao Anwar as SSP Malir.

The Sindh government had suspended the famous encounter specialist and senior police officer of Karachi after he arrested the Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Khawaja Izharul Hassan from his residence on 16, Sept 2016, without calling for prior permission from the speaker of the provincial assembly.

Rao Anwar had blamed Izhar and his party of planning extensive attacks in the metropolis and warned that his suspension would not only hamper investigation in the cases against MQM leaders but will also have its other “side effects”.
Later, he was reinstated on November 19, 2016, however his posting was not made then. Anwar was also cleared of all the charges by a probing team last month.
