KARACHI: Speaker of Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani has confirmed that the resignations of four Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial assembly members have been accepted, ARY News reports on Wednesday.
Speaker Durrani, talking to media here, said the resignations of PTI members have been accepted.
He added that the assembly members of Tehreek-e-Insaf had submitted their resignations in the house four months ago as per the decision taken by the party during its sit-ins in Islamabad last year.
PTI
members of Sindh Assembly Samar Khan, Hafeezuddin, Seema Zia and Khurram Zaman had tendered their resignations from the provincial legislature seats after the party’s decision to quit the assemblies except the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly.
PTI had announced to resign from the National as well as Punjab and Sindh assemblies as a sign of protest against the alleged rigging in 2013 general elections.
However, their resignations from the centre and Punjab have not been accepted as yet.
