KANDHKOT: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday lambasted Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on asking the federal government for delegation of powers to him.
“Waseem Akhtar should not interfere in authorities of the Sindh government and refrain from criticizing the province,” he said while inaugurating a road from Kandhkot to Thal in Kandhkot.
Murad said the mayor Karachi even did not know what his powers were. He was also oblivious of the fact that the control of Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim was handed over to Bahria Town after a bill passed by the Sindh Assembly, he said adding that Waseem Akhtar should work under the powers delegated to him and exercise all the powers he had to serve the masses.

The CM said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not do any good for Sindh. The opponents would come to know after 2018 that whom Punjab was supporting, he said.
He also disdained rumours of a deal with the center and said bails to former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon, former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and supermodel Ayyan Ali were given by courts and this involved no deal.
“We do not believe in any deal,” he said.

Murad said Sindh had reservations on census as it was not being provided any details in this regard and all the data was being sent to Islamabad.
