Sindh Rangers capture seven suspects including MQM gangster

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Thursday apprehended seven suspects including gangster Azhar Commando affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Karachi, ARY News reported.

The Sindh Rangers spokesperson said the suspects were arrested during raids in different areas including Malir, Darakhshan and New Karachi Industrial Area.

The spokesman said they were involved in mugging and different other crimes while illegal weapons were also recovered from their possession. He said the suspects had been handed over to police for legal course of action.

On Mar 27, Ibrahim Hyderi police had claimed to have arrested a target killer associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) group in Karachi.

The shooter, identified as Yaseen alias ‘Chota Don’, was wanted in several heinous crimes including murders and extortion cases to the police.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Yaseen was a companion of Azam Bengali.

“Search was underway for the arrest of Yaseen’s three companions, who fled during the action”, the SSP had maintained.

The police had also confiscated two pistols and snatched motorcycle from the custody of arrested shooter of the MQM-L group.

Earlier on March 8, police had arrested a suspected target killer of MQM-London and his accomplice in Karachi.
