NAWABSHAH: At least two persons, including a woman, was killed and more than a dozen were wounded when the engine and two bogies of Karakoram Express derailed at Baandhi area near Nawabshah on Wednesday (today), ARY News reports.
Karakoram Express was heading towards Karachi from Lahore when the incident occurred. According to police, at least 12 people were injured in the unfortunate incident.
Rescue teams could not reach the spot due to which the passengers of the train initiated the relief activities by themselves.
An emergency has also been placed in Nawabshah General Hospital.
Railway traffic was severely affected by the derailing of the train.
