SIALKOT: Armed dacoits looted cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs15 million from a jewellery store in Sialkot city of Punjab, ARY News reported on Friday.
According to details, the incident took place at a jewellery store in Sialkot’s Budhi Bazar within the jurisdiction of Neka Pura police station.
In a CCTV footage – acquired by ARY News, two armed dacoits can be seen taking away a jeweller’s safe, which contained gold ornaments worth Rs15 million.
Meanwhile, the robbers also took the shop owner hostage and looted Rs0.4 million in cash.
In a statement, the police vowed to arrested the suspects soon and said they were investigating the robbery with the help of CCTV footage.

Earlier in February, two armed robbers looted Rs5 million in cash and gold from the Jewellery shop in Karachi’s Clifton area.
The incident took place in the neighbourhood of Zamzama Clifton, wherein two armed robbers looted Rs5 million cash and gold from a jewellery shop.
In a statement, the shop owner said armed robbers broke into the shop and looted cash, jewellery and other valuables at gunpoint.
The shop owner – who is a woman – stated that the suspected robbers had visited the shop as customers before.
