The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) rewarded its players for their impressive performance in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on home turf.

India is the only unbeaten team in the 50-over World Cup so far. The side started their campaign by beating five-time winners Australia by six wickets. They thrashed by eight wickets.
Rohit Sharma’s side beat arch-rivals and 1992 champions Pakistan by seven wickets and Bangladesh by the same margin. They made five wins in a row with a four-wicket victory over New Zealand.

BCCI, as a reward, gave time off to several players so they could meet their families.
India captain Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and others have left the side to meet their families.

The side will play defending champions England, who are struggling to get going in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, at Lucknow’s Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on October 26.
