ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has come up in support of MQM, saying Altaf Hussain should be given his passport, ARY News reported Tuesday.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Shah said Election Commission members should resign in the wake of charges leveled against it by Imran Khan.
“Altaf Hussain should be given his computerized national identity card and passport at the earliest. We don’t know what the hurdle is, but ultimate responsibility lies with the government,” he said.
The demand of electoral reforms, he said, was not only Imran’s, but the entire nation wanted it.
Shah said a meeting will be held among MQM, JI, PTI and PPP on electoral reforms tomorrow (Wednesday).
