According to details, a chartered plane crash-landed at the runway of Jinnah International Airport. Due to technical faults, a big disaster was averted as the plane crash-landed almost immediately after taking flight.
The chartered plane was destined to land at Sui. An investigation into the matter has been directed by the Civil Aviation. Due to the timing at which the technical fault was recognised, major loss of life was averted. An Islamabad-bound flight was also delayed due to the crash-landing.
One of the two runways 25 L or 25 R has been closed for the time being till the plane is not cleared from the site. Operations to remove the plane to clear the runway are in process.
