A disturbing video of a father-son duo being killed by a firecracker explosion on a moving motorcycle in India has gone viral on social media.
A foreign news agency reported that a man, identified as Kalainesan, and his son Pradesh were burnt to death as the firecrackers – which they were carrying on a motorcycle – exploded.

Three others also suffered injuries in the incident.
The report stated that the incident was reported from Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu state on Thursday. The tragic event unfolded during Diwali celebrations across the country.
The father-son duo had procured domestic crackers from Puducherry and were on their way to adjoining Villupuram for taking part in Diwali celebrations at Kalaninesan’s mother-in-law’s house.

“The boy was seated on two bundles of firecrackers kept tightly tied in the front of the two-wheeler,” an investigator was reported saying in the report.
He added: “We believe that friction and pressure led to the explosion. The sudden appearance of the other two-wheelers from the opposite side could have led to a jerk, causing friction.”
