2000 retired army officers to be employed in Police: IG Sindh

KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) of Sindh, Shahid Nadeem Baloch has said that process of hiring 2000 retired army officers in Police has been started, ARY News reported.

Shahid Nadeem along with additional IG, Shahid Hayat visited Karachi Site Association on Tuesday.

While addressing a press conference along with traders, Shahid Nadeem said that criminal incidents has been decreased in Karachi, however it will take some more time to attain complete peace in the city.

IG Sindh said police has arrested a member of terrorist group involved in the crime of extortion.

“The group uses South African and Afghanistan’s SIMS in the terrorist activities”, he added.

Shahid Nadeem said that police is designing a brief plan to eliminate the street crimes from mega polis.

Meanwhile, AIG Shahid Hayat revealed that police have the list of 500 criminals having political influence.
