Govt allows PTI to go on with its long march

According to details, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed while acting upon special directives by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, telephoned the chief of Jamat e Islami (JI), Siraj ul Haq and informed him that the government has decided to permit PTI to carry on with its long march.

He told the JI ameer that the permission was mainly given due to his repeated consultation.

Rasheed told him as the government had announced to form a judicial commission to probe rigging allegations, for which a letter has already been written to the Registrar of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, ARY News Islamabad bureau chief, Sabir Shakir told that the decision was made keeping in view the enormous pressure that was built against the government.

He told that none of the parties supported government’s move of preventing the long march, after which it made a final decision and informed the JI chief, who was playing the role of an arbitrator between the government and PTI.
