The government had tabled Pakistan Commissions of Inquiry bill 2016 to deal with cases such as Panamagate and similar issues.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid has said that the bill has capacity to grant powers to a commission constitute under the Pakistan Commissions Of Inquiry Act 1956 to investigate not only the Panama Leaks matter and other cases of similar nature as well.
The PML-N government, despite enjoying a two-third majority in the National Assembly, failed for the second time to get “The Pakistan Commissions of Inquiry Bill, 2016,” due to lack of quorum.
The opposition MNAs on Tuesday staged walkout from the session calling the bill an effort to save the Sharif family and a PPP MNA drew the attention of the chair towards lack of quorum.
